Doing something new may be easy to a lot of people. Some people just jump in and that, my friend, is a quality I really envy. Sometimes, I feel afraid about going in to the unknown but that's okay. TRAVELINGGoing travelling is something that isn't really that hard for me to do but going somewhere with friends over Christmas was a first for me. I hadn't been on a plane for long time so I had forgotten what it felt like to fly. Luckily for me, I had experienced travelers, my sister Lauren and friend Kirsty, to look after me. We flew to Prague on the 27th of December. Not a far away trip from home but it was still different. We were greeted with a sunset flying to Prague and it was beautiful to be up there in the clouds to witness it. Christmas was still buzzing in the air when we went (which is my favourite time of year btw) and I loved it. The streets were full and beautiful buildings surrounded us. The Christmas markets were amazing. Being out of the UK was fresh as we were greeted with a new culture. This was the part I thought I would struggle with, such as not knowing how the currency worked or what shops were good or bad. We managed to find a great pizza place believe it or not. I think we went their twice on our trip. Doing tours was also something I never did before. We had the best guide ever- he made the experience fun even if it was chucking it down with rain on one of the days. Everywhere we turned, he would point out the history of Prague plus some great bars for the famous beers. This 'something new' has opened my eyes to a totally new want to travel. I love the idea of visiting places in the UK, trying to experience everything.
I feel wrong not writing anything about the Manchester Attack on the 22nd of May 2017. It's what prompted me to write the blog post. So many of us take life forgranted. What happened on Monday sent chills down me that I will never forget. My thoughts and prayers are with everyone who was affected by Monday's tragic event. In a way, I think it has affected us all. Together we can beat this evil and love will destroy this evil hate. If you take anything away from this blog post, remember to live for the moment and do not let fear control you. Try new things, see the world, experience all the good in the world and we will show that this hate will never beat us. Thank you for reading, and if you need someone to talk to, send me a comment or email at [email protected]. I love you all.
