So I have been off the radar the past week and a bit with this blog and I am now happy to say I am back in action. It may be because I am typing this with new bedding and pajamas so it is giving the kick in the butt I need to finally write a post. Since my last blog post I have had food poisoning, I have been working and my phone has been acting up. No worries though, everything is now fine and dandy. Also, I have already watched Arthur Christmas, Elf and Polar Express in July. My Christmas planning and excitement starts in July (sometimes earlier) and I am proud of that. I already know the main presents I am getting my family and I am so excited for Zoe Sugg's vlogmas...eeep! Okay, okay Emma, calm down...get back to the actual blog. my new fave kelso cafeTHE CREAM CHIMNEYS is a new cafe here in Kelso. It is beautiful to look at and I think it stands out tremendously for its looks among the other cafes in Kelso. It is bright, white and has so many nooks and crannies that make the cafe special. I walked into the cafe and I was greeted with lovely interior that made a warm environment. Then I was greeted by a happy, chatty and welcoming lady. So I think you will agree, that this sounds good so far. But what can possibly be more welcoming and lovely than the warm environment and happy lady? A FREAKIN' DOG!! Yes, there was a golden retriever that just laid on the floor and was welcome for cuddles. Okay, we have seen the dog and how cute the dog is but now, lets discuss the food and drink. I had a lovely flat white that tasted like seriously good coffee beans. For my lunch, I had a panini with brie, red pepper and pesto. I know it sounds delicious and guess what? It was. The panini's are fresh and the flavours were fantastic. This cafe is also unique as it includes a little gallery and shop area. See, these are the things that make me so happy. Little things that make the place special. Kirsty, Lauren and I had a little looks and saw some lovely paintings. the ootdI know, I know, this outfit is pretty monochrome for Summer. However, I am definitely an Autumn/Winter person so bare with until then, haha! My top is from Sainsbury's believe it or not. I love the long flared sleeves. My sleeveless duster blazer is from Primark quite a while back and I almost always wear it. Best £15 I ever spent. My trousers are from Primark also, quite recently I might add. My bag is from the exotic, priceless shop of 'Mum's Closet' (thanks mum). A WALK AROUND A COUNTRY TOWNTo complete the day, we went for a walk around Kelso, viewing the Abbey (using it for photo op's) and sitting at Floors Castle. Both of which were lovely. I sometimes forget how nice it is to just walk around countryside views. We had seen the Abbey many a time before but it is always good to visit the touristy areas in your on town. After looking at the Abbey, we headed to Floors Castle with our friend Molly who had joined in on our outing. Floors Castle is pretty pricey nowadays but very pretty to look at. I did a blog post about it if you fancy seeing more photos of the actual castle and now just the plants I saw, haha! Floor Castle Blog Post Here! That is all I have for you today. I know this post has been photo heavy but there were too many I wanted to share. I have a few posts this week so please keep updated by following my instragram! Thank you for reading and I will see you Wednesday.
